LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — Taking a few small steps to build healthy habits can go a long way in supporting brain health.
The Alzheimer’s Association held a presentation at the Bradfield Community Center focused on everyday actions people can take to protect their brains. Officials say developing these habits may help lower the risk of cognitive decline, as well as Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia.
By staying both mentally and physically active, individuals can improve their chances of maintaining a healthy brain as they age.

“Just takes a different structure, different change. What would you like to pick up on? What would you like to try new? Those are things that we're going to talk about today, as well as, retraining that brain in different ways of thinking,” says Samantha Kerner, Dir. Sales Springview manor and Volunteer Educator, Alzheimer’s Association.
