BLUFFTON, Ohio (WLIO) — Bluffton businesses are giving local artists a chance to showcase their talents.

This year marks the first Bluffton Art Walk, hosted by the Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce in the village’s downtown. Around 10 businesses partnered with local artists to either display their work or offer live demonstrations, including needlepoint and balloon sculpting. The event aims to highlight both the creative talent and the local businesses that serve as the backbone of the community.

“See some of our stores, we have a lot of unique things. Everybody's familiar with, Shirley's Popcorn. We have Roots by Stratton, which is a really neat store, Black Lab, the Town and Country Flowers. There's a lot of different stores in Bluffton that we just want people to come down and see what we have,” said Jim Enneking, Executive Director of the Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce.

For local artists like Bruce Chesser, the event offers an opportunity to not only showcase their work but also encourage visitors to explore the village.

“I think they'll find that this is a great community to visit, to stop, to eat at our restaurants, and it's just a very friendly, nice community. I've always loved coming to Bluffton because the art is here. There are a lot of artists that live here and work here and visit here,” said Chesser, of Chesser Pottery.
