LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) – The Lima Allen County Chamber’s Above and Beyond Award honors those who are making an exceptional impact on the community and also improving the region and their employees. The finalist for the award are ATR Contracting, Trisco Systems, and State Bank and Trust.
ATR Contractors has been serving the Lima area for 45 years. Starting out as All Temp Refrigeration, the company has grown and evolved to handle everything from HVAC to plumbing to building automation. Throughout the years, they have made many contributions to local organizations. Last year, they converted the old Lima News building into their new headquarters, continuing to show their commitment to local communities and the area.
Trisco Systems believes that "you only get out of a community from what you put into it," and that is why they have been focused on giving back to the area and their employees. From helping with the United Way’s Day of Caring to supporting young athletes and artists, Trisco and its employees are finding ways to give back. The company has developed a state-of-the-art "Center of Excellence" training classroom and laboratory to better develop their employees for the creative solutions they offer their customers.
State Bank and Trust has been actively helping the Lima area for around 20 years by volunteering and donating to many local organizations. They have partnered with OSU Extension to provide financial education for local students and have hosted seminars for small business owners to learn more about programs available to help them grow their companies. Their GIVE Truck has raised more than $30,000 for nonprofit agencies in the areas State Bank serves in Ohio and Indiana.
Those are the finalists for the Above and Beyond Award. The winner will be announced at the Chamber Gala on May 8th.
