LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — The Lima Veteran’s Civic and Convention Center Foundation is inviting the community to help decorate its new Christmas tree by purchasing personalized ornaments.

The 15-foot evergreen will be displayed in the lobby of the Crouse Performance Hall during the holiday season and is a popular spot for family photos at events. The foundation is selling crystal disc ornaments to help cover the cost of the new tree. Donors can have their family names or a business logo engraved on an ornament that will hang on the tree each year.

Community Invited to Personalize VMCC Christmas Tree

Carmen Cecala-Wells, director of development for the VMCC, said the tree has become a cherished holiday tradition.

“There's nothing like having your family picture in front of our tree at one of our events over the holidays. I have several of them in my house and on my camera roll, so we just thought it would be a great idea to carry on that tradition of this amazing tree.”

Ornaments can be purchased through the foundation’s website by clicking “Donate” and following the prompts. Each ornament is available for a $100 donation. While ornaments are being sold through December, early buyers may see their ornament on the tree this season.
