"The Butterfly Garden honors people that we have served as the board of DD and it also honors people who are just community members," said Melissa Ricker, superintendent of the ACBDD. "They might be walking the path, they might be loved ones, and so it's really just become a great place for people to be able to come and reflect and remember those that they love."
Over the past five years, 233 people have been remembered through the butterflies in the garden. Ricker reminding everyone that the all abilities playground at Marimor Legacy Park is open to the public daily.
