LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — Ohio MeansJobs Allen County is helping ensure that Procter & Gamble has the skilled workforce it needs.
The agency has been assisting during the hiring process, and when a current employee or a new employee needs a new skill set, it offers programs to help train workers to fill specific positions.
“Once the employees are hired, we can do what's called on the job training and then also we do incumbent worker training for employees that have been with the company for 6 months that might need a new level of skill set to bring them up to speed with the new manufacturing processes. So, always happy to partner with them. They P&G has been a great partner with us for almost 10 years now,” says Joe Patton, director of Ohio Means Jobs Allen County.
The new Lima plant is the first P&G facility to incorporate Universal Design, enabling the site to be accessed by people regardless of ability.
