LIMA, OHIO (WLIO) — Heart health and health care will be the focus of this month’s Mercy Health Club 129 “Pop Out Party,” happening this Saturday.

The event marks the second in a series of free gatherings designed to encourage healthier lifestyle choices. Attendees can expect free health screenings and educational materials on nutrition, heart health, and stroke prevention, among other resources. While the event is part of Club 129, it is open to the public.

Attendees can expect free health screenings and educational materials on nutrition, heart health, and stroke prevention, among other resources.

“We always give out health needs assessments where we're just kind of screening for what people need,” said Mercy Health Community Resource Navigator Carla Thompson. “Heart health, hypertension, and high blood pressure consistently come up. People are either concerned about it or already dealing with heart health issues.”

The Heart Health and Care “Pop Out Party” will be held Saturday, Feb. 15, from 11 am. to 1 pm. at the Lima Public Library’s downstairs auditorium. The event is free and open to the public.
