LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) - Heir Force Community school 8th graders had their graduation Tuesday.
25 students have reached the final grade at Heir Force and will be choosing a high school in the area to attend next year.
Heir Force holds this middle school graduation to not only celebrate the success of reaching high school, but to remember the memories made with fellow classmates.
Parents, students, and staff packed the Veterans Memorial Civic and Convention Center to support their 8th grade graduates.
"You know, they've grown up with us, and to see their family members come out tonight, and to see how proud they are, with regards to the accomplishments they made, it's gratifying," says Dr. Willie Heggins, Heir Force Director.
"Some kids are leaving, you know, out of the state, but I think it's going to be a fun next chapter for everyone in here. We've got a good group of kids. I think it's going to be, you know, great," says Dakai Callahan, a graduate.
"I think it's just to enjoy everyone, and all the children who are graduating, including myself, and just being here with your friends for the last time," says Ada Messner, a graduate.
"Couldn't have did it without the amazing staff at Heir Force, and you know, the programs they have here. Just, everything's great about it," says Shameeka Cloud, a parent.
Although these 8th grade grads are leaving Heir Force, their memories from the school will live forever.
