LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) - A big announcement was made by Allen County Fairgrounds about their headliner in August.
Country-rock singer Koe Wetzel is set to perform at the fair. With many hit songs, his latest album, "9 Lives" debuted at number 5 on Billboard's Top Country Albums Chart. By listening to the community's suggestion for a headliner, director Troy Elwer says that the overall public response has been extremely positive.
"So far, since we made the announcement, we've gotten an incredible amount of positive feedback on the show. One of the posts we made so far has actually already reached over 70,000 people organically. And all the feedback we are getting for the most part has been really, really good, and there's really a sense of urgency behind people wanting to buy tickets," says Troy Elwer, Promotions and Operations Manager, Allen County Fairgrounds, Lima.
If you are interested in seeing Wetzel on August 22nd, tickets go on sale online on February 6th at 9am at the Allen County Fair's website.
Prices range from 50 dollars for grandstand and bleachers to 105 dollars to right in front of the stage.
