LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) - Not much advancements made to have a dog warden in Lima.

Called by 6th Lima city councilman Derry Glenn, a second meeting was held to discuss the idea.

Deb's dogs represented at the meeting, laying out some stats on the increase of dogs and cats issues in the area.

Other options were talked about like a trap, neuter, release program to prevent stray animals from creating more, as well as available vacant buildings to house animals.

Council plans to look over the pros and cons of a city dog warden at future meetings.

"How we're going to handle the dog problem here. I'm thinking that we all need to come together. Us and the commissioners, the dog warden, all of us come together. We had some great ideas come up today, but we need to work together and try to make some communication there," said Derry Glenn, 6th Ward Lima City Councilman.

The next meeting is scheduled for June 15th.
