LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) - Lima Memorial hosted their Ovation event Thursday night.

The Lima Memorial Foundation recognized the generosity of more than 15 donors through awards, as well as celebrating the success of CEO Mike Swick as he plans to retire this year. Through the donors’ help, Lima Memorial was able to upgrade technology, patients' experience, and efficiency at the hospital. Along with the award ceremony, there was an award for the CEO, naming the welcome center after his family and an installation of a plaque explaining his achievements through his 25 plus years of service.

"It's not one individual that makes this place successful, it's the whole team, but I've been very fortunate being here the last 25 years and stuff to be able to have the impact I have. I'm going to miss the people. Some of the work, maybe not, but the people definitely are what it's about, and it's about the community. I spend a lot of time in the community, and I still will continue, we're not going anywhere. We're staying here, we're staying local because that's what it's about but, it's bittersweet," says Mike Swick, CEO of Lima Memorial.

Donors were able to see where their funds go to help improve Lima Memorial for all.

"It's all about improving the patient’s experience and allowing our patients to have access to medical care right here at home so they can get the best care and compassionate care right here locally," says Jan Hawk, Lima Memorial Foundation Board of Trustees.

By honoring those who have impacted Lima Memorial, attendees were able to see the success of the hospital, as well as the bright future that's ahead.
