CELINA, Ohio - One night after scoring 24 runs against the Michigan Monarchs, the Grand Lake Mariners followed it up with a 6-4 victory at Montgomery Field.

Grand Lake tied the game at 1-1 in the first when Luke Wildes scored during a rundown involving Parker Vaughn. The Mariners erased another deficit in the fourth on an RBI single from Holden Murcer before taking the lead later in the inning on a bunt by Forrest Day.

The Mariners built a 6-2 advantage before Michigan scored twice in the ninth, but Grand Lake closed out the win to improve its series lead.

Grand Lake will look to complete the sweep when the teams meet again Thursday in Michigan.
