LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — A small house fire broke out on the east side of the city Friday afternoon.
The Lima Fire Department responded to reports of fire and smoke coming from the front of a house at 126 N. Shawnee St. shortly after 1:40 p.m. The cause of the fire was determined to be a discarded cigarette. No one was home at the time of the fire, and no firefighters were injured. The estimated damage is $5,000, affecting the front porch and house siding.
