LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — Superior Credit Union is expanding in Lima with a new downtown branch.
The new location will set up shop at the corner of Elm and Main streets. This will be Superior’s seventh branch in Lima and its 26th across Ohio. The downtown branch may look a little different from what members may be used to - it will be a more automated location, with advanced ATMs handling most everyday transactions, while staff will still be on site to help when needed.
President and CEO Phil Buell said opening a downtown branch just made sense, as more people are spending time in the area for work, events and dining.
“I’m excited just to be downtown. I just think what’s going on downtown, the vibrancy... we’d love to have this thing open in June or July, and of course, all the summer activities are going to be planned this year. It's just gonna be wonderful to be here. And we’re just gonna be here in the middle of it,” Buell said.
The new branch is expected to open this summer.
