Things got a little wild Saturday afternoon at the Lima Public Library. As a way to celebrate national library week, they invited the Toledo Zoo in to showcase some of their wildlife. Kids and their families filled the room to learn about animals at the zoo and get a close up look of an armadillo, a turtle and a snake. Librarians say they want the people to know the library offers more than just books, and this is just one way to show that.

"The Toledo Zoo is so close to us, it's such a great resource for the community, but it's just a little bit far away, so we wanted to make a better opportunity for our community to come here, somewhere local, to meet some of the animals and learn some more. And just get them excited about learning opportunities here," Dani Hollar, a librarian at the Lima Public Library, said.
