An Auglaize County woman gets a 13-year sentence for sexual contact with a minor

WAPAKONETA, Ohio (WLIO) — The former director of Generations of Love was sentenced to 13 years in prison for having sexual contact with a minor connected to the agency.

Paige Fiebelkorn, 33, was sentenced on two counts of sexual battery and one count of tampering with evidence. Her guilty plea was part of a plea agreement in which 13 other charges were dropped.

During sentencing, the victim — who was 14 years old when the offenses began — described how Fiebelkorn groomed him, provided him alcohol and said he is currently receiving mental health treatment as a result of the abuse.

Before the sentence was handed down, Fiebelkorn addressed the court.

“I would just like to say I am remorseful. I am very sorry for everybody that has been affected by this. I know it has caused multiple people a lot of hurt. I'm very sorry for all that this has caused,” says Paige Fiebelkorn

Auglaize County Common Pleas Court Judge Frederick Pepple responded during the hearing.

“Remorse is not I'm sorry that it happened, or I am sorry I put myself in this situation, or that I crossed the boundary. Remorse is a sense of guilt, so overcome with guilt, that I did this terrible thing that I should not have done, I'm sorry for having done it. And I don't sense that in you at all,” says Judge Frederick Pepple, Auglaize County Common Pleas Court.

Pepple also ordered that Fiebelkorn pay more than $19,000 to the victim’s family to cover the cost of three months of treatment at the Central Ohio Youth Center, where the victim received mental health care.
