MINSTER, Ohio (WLIO) - Minster Schools hosted a speaker to talk about humility, and they decided to bring in our own Tony Quach.
Every month, Minster High School has a "wildcat" value to focus on, and this month was humility. The principal decided to bring in Tony Quach, our sports anchor and reporter, to talk about his upbringing and how he remains humble throughout his successes. Two students from an oral communication class sat down with Tony and asked him interview-like questions. Since they were familiar with tony through his community connections and sports highlights, it was easy for the students to learn what it means to be humble through him.
"We were looking for humble people with humble backgrounds, and Tony is great because you can see through his work with the long hours and just lugging a camera around the gym and you can see he really puts people first and that's the definition of humility," says Austin Kaylor, Principal for Minster High School.
He adds that athletes work hard, and it is an honor to have someone be able to share highlights with the community like Tony.
