SIDNEY, Ohio (WLIO) – Fire crews responded to a house fire early Tuesday morning in Sidney, marking the second time flames broke out at the same location in around 30 hours.
Sidney firefighters were called to 520 North Miami Avenue just after 1 a.m. Tuesday morning and found fire coming from the second story and out of the roof of the home.

Officials said the same residence caught fire Sunday night, but no one was inside during the second incident.
They called in mutual aid from neighboring fire department to help battle the blaze.
No injuries were reported, but the home sustained extensive damage in the second fire.
The cause is still under investigation, but fire officials are trying to determine if the fire rekindled or a new cause.

Sidney Department of Fire and Emergency Services Responded to a Structure Fire
Sidney, Ohio – At 1:10 a.m. on July 8, 2025, the Sidney Department of Fire & Emergency Services responded to a call at 520 N. Miami for a structure fire.
Upon arrival, crews found the second floor of the two-story, two-family structure; fully engulfed in fire. A quick search of the first floor was completed and an “all clear” was give. Due to the advanced stage of the fire, suppression operations were exterior and defensive. Elevated aerial device master streams were utilized to extinguish the blaze.
A box alarm was requested, recalling all off-duty Sidney FD personnel as well as mutual aid from Anna Fire, Lockington Fire, and Piqua Fire. The Salvation Army was requested to the scene to assist with rehab.
