ST. MARYS, Ohio (WLIO) – For 56 years, people in Auglaize County have celebrated the beauty of autumn with the Walk with Nature Fall Festival.
In between rain showers, visitors enjoyed the crisp fall afternoon in St. Marys by exploring the Miami Erie Canal Towpath. Along the way, they stepped back in time to the 1700s with the Girty’s Town Rendezvous encampment and took part in family-friendly activities in Memorial Park. Besides getting people outdoors, the event also highlights the importance of supporting local businesses.

“We have a lot of local craft vendors and local food trucks, and it's a great time to celebrate those local people that make your community work and maybe spend a little dollars that stay here in town and here in Auglaize County. So, it's great to support those folks, and also just to get out on the Miami Erie Canal Tow Path trail,” said Terry McDonald of the Heritage Trails Park District.
For those who couldn’t make it out Sunday, the Heritage Trails Park District plans to offer more events in early 2026 for residents to explore the Miami Erie Canal Towpath Trail.
