What is the best way to cool off during these very hot temperatures... a trip to the ice cream parlor, of course!
We took a trip down South Dixie Highway to Pete's Ice Cream where many people sought a tasty, creamy way to beat the heat. From strawberry dole to superman to plain old vanilla with rainbow sprinkles on a homemade waffle cone, there are endless possibilities with ice cream to keep cool, and these two young ladies share how they are staying cool during this heat.
"Eating a lot of ice cream and swimming," says Madelyn Sterrett.
"Swimming, too, and just like sitting in a house with at least air conditioning," says Arinana Goings.
With the 90s in the forecast for Wednesday as well as for the upcoming weekend, local ice cream shops are expected to stay busy.
