More than 70 children showed up to the first night of the Lima Area Black Ministerial Alliance's Community Vacation Bible School at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church.

During Wednesday night's session kindergarten through high school, students learned about the fruits of the spirit. They learned how virtues like joy, love, patience, and peace play a part in their lives.

The Black Ministerial Alliance has been hosting this bible school for more than three years. Through this event, they hope to provide the youth with a way to not only learn more about God but to also be able to freely fellowship with one another.

“We have food ready for them,” said Dr. Lisa Bradley, the bible school assistant director. “We have entertainment, as well as they, get a chance to learn and connect with each other and certainly network with each other in a very special way.”

Bible school is also available for adults at Second Baptist Church. The event will continue until Friday night.
