ALLEN COUNTY, OH (WLIO) - A man found guilty of raping a child, gets sentenced to 150 years to life in prison.
33-year-old Matthew Brown was found guilty by a jury in July on 19 charges including rape, gross sexual imposition, and sexual battery for multiple incidents involving a young boy in 2019 and 2020.
During sentencing, family members of the victim spoke out against Brown, calling him a monster for what he did to the young boy, who has suffered psychological damage from the incidents according to the prosecutor. Brown refused to speak during the hearing, but his lawyer said that he plans to appeal the conviction. Brown was also classified as a tier three sex offender.
