The man allegedly involved in a hit-and-run on the day before Thanksgiving, now faces four charges.
Allen County Grand Jury has charged 34-year-old Curtis Miller with aggravated vehicular assault and failure to stop after an accident, both felonies. He is also charged with two misdemeanor counts of operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol. The charges stem from an incident where police say Miller was driving on Spencerville Road near J's Pub when he hit Whitney Allen, who was crossing the street.
Police say Allen went airborne, her head striking and smashing the windshield of the vehicle, she then rolled off before landing on the road. Miller allegedly took off from the scene before pulling to the side of the road. Police say his breath smelled strongly of alcohol and he had an open container in the car.
He is set to appear in court for a pre-trial on February 3, 2017.
