City of Lima hosting roundtables for local businesses

ALLEN COUNTY, OH (WLIO) - Lima Mayor Sharetta Smith is continuing her efforts to open a dialogue with local businesses and industries to promote the growth of the region's economy.

The new department of Workforce and Small Business Development is holding two roundtable discussions for bar owners, and retail and service businesses in October. The goal is to get an open dialogue between the city and the businesses on what their needs and concerns are related to doing business in the city. From building permits to workforce shortages, what can be done to make doing business in Lima better?

"We can hear from those owners what is going well, what we can address, maybe concerns and needs that they have," said Amber Martin, Workforce & Small Business Development Coordinator for the city of Lima. "As a city, we hear straight from them how we can step in an assist and provide support."
