Some are saying it’s the best day ever and are celebrating its uniqueness.
Teachers at Cridersville Elementary School embracing “2-22-22” in fashion as they interpret the “2” into “tutu” and donned special t-shirts. They used today as a teaching opportunity about the play on words like how 2-22-22 fell on a “Tues”day and a lesson on phonetics.
Speech Therapist Olivia Spieles explains, “We are talking about the “W” in the word “two” and why we phonetically spell things with that ‘W” so everything that has a “w” continues like “twist” means to combine two things and “twine” is made of two pieces of string.”
Intervention specialist Bethany McGaughy shares why, “We decided to do something fun for the kids and do a little play on words for “2-22-22”. So, we decided what better way to do that than to all wear tutus”.
The students didn’t seem to mind the “tutus” for the day as classes continued throughout the day.
