CRIDERSVILLE, OH (WLIO) - Downtown Cridersville will be the place to be this Saturday.

The Volunteer Fire Department is gearing up for their 5th annual "Food Truck Festival and Jeep Invasion.”

Growing in popularity, the festival will feature 30 food trucks, awards for "Best Jeep," a cornhole tournament, and more than 70 craft vendors.

With 135 jeeps on full display last year, the fire department looks to take it up another notch this weekend.

"I like putting festivals and events on. This year, we're having a steel drum high school band coming. We also have a DJ, and there's a couple of other music groups coming, but it's just a fun event. If it does rain, we have seating in the station so they can go get food, come in, and eat there,” Jeff Reichelderfer, firefighter medic, said.

Also coming up this summer, the fire department will be hosting the Cridersville Fireman's Jamboree on July 11th and 12th.
