UPDATE with new information from the Lima Police Department: LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) – The Lima Police Department is investigating an early Friday morning shooting that left a teenager injured.

Officers responded to a shots-fired call around 3 a.m. Friday in the 500 block of Haller Street. Upon arrival, they found two vehicles that had been involved in an accident.

A 17-year-old male was transported to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the ankle.

Press Release written and provided by the Lima Police Department: On 2-7-25 Officers were called to the 500 blk of Haller in reference to shots fired. Upon arrival Officers located two vehicles which had been involved in an accident. Officers discovered a 17 year old male was shot in the ankle and transported to the hospital for treatment to the non-life threatening injury. The incident remains under investigation. ORIGINAL ARTICLE: LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — Lima police are investigating a crash and then a shooting early Friday morning on Haller.

According to authorities, a two-vehicle crash occurred around 3 a.m., followed by a shooting at the crash site.

One gunshot victim was transported to the hospital by a bystander, police said.

Investigators are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. Additional details will be released as they become available.
