The Allen County Dive Team dove into a local park to continue their training.
The recovery team is made up of 10 divers who are patrolmen, detectives, deputies, and correctional officers in Allen County. The divers train once a month to learn search patterns and their surroundings. They can cover up to 15 counties. Officials say these trainings help them work on their skills for when they are called to find evidence, such as bodies, guns, cars and more.
"Usually we go all the way down to the bottom and we just swim along the bottom and feel through everything we can touch and see what it is. Like I said, you can't see so any object we got to make sure it's you know something of value or nothing at all," said Diver and Patrolman Scott Luedeki.
He says the trainings are very helpful because there is no better practice than actually getting out there and getting their feet wet.
