Every county in area sees a drop in unemployment for November

Every county in our area saw a drop in unemployment for the month of November.

The Department of Job and Family Services says that Putnam County is seeing their lowest unemployment rate in the last 30 years, sitting at 2.1%. That's the second-lowest unemployment rate in the state of Ohio.

Mercer and Auglaize Counties are also among the 10 lowest unemployment rates for the state, with Auglaize County dropping one percent from October.

Allen and Hardin Counties have the highest unemployment rates in West Central Ohio with 3.5% each, but they dropped from their totals in October, both of which were over 4%.

Unemployment rates for both the state of Ohio overall and the United States as a whole also saw drops from October to November.
