The former Fort Jennings Police Chief is facing criminal charges in Allen County. 44-year-old Michael Schleeter was indicted by the Allen County Grand Jury on the count of counterfeiting. The indictment was the result of an investigation by Allen County Sheriff's Detectives into a counterfeit money complaint at the Elida Dollar General store, that we told you about back in November. Schleeter was taken into custody Friday morning and then released on bond. Schleeter steps down as Fort Jennings Police Chief shortly after the time of the alleged incident. He is scheduled to be arraigned on December 20th.
