Downtown Lima Inc. invites you to celebrate with them this summer in Lima's town square.
That event is their First Fridays series in the northwest quadrant of the square. Today(7/5/19) was the second of the three events this summer. Kids and adults alike finding an array of fun activities to do on a hot summer day. Different groups and organizations participate with games, crafts, music, and even some furry friends are on hand. Lima Allen County Neighborhood in Partnership was keeping the children busy with painting their own flower pot. Organizers say it's a way to become more involved in the community and encourage others to come to the next First Friday.
"There's a bunch of activities for your children to be involved in, it's a great way to spend family time together. They've got entertainment on the stage and places to get smoothies and snow cones and do some crafts and just have a great time with your family," said Jessie Roark, LACNIP president.
The third and final First Friday will be August 2, 2019, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. with a "Fair in the Square" theme. It's free and open to anyone.
