FINDLAY, OH (WLIO) -Â Habitat for Humanity of Findlay-Hancock County has provided shelter, strength, and stability to those in need.
That mission continued this evening with Habitat completing the construction of three homes for the first time in their 25-year history. Findlay residents, alongside workers and volunteers saw three families cut the ceremonial red ribbons to their homes having just lifted up the first wall of those homes just 10 weeks ago. Now, official homeowners, these families look forward to creating new memories with their loved ones.

"It feels great to have something for them to always come to," says Habitat homeowner Kara Summers, referring to her two children. When they get older and move out, or want to come back home, they're always welcome to do that. Just to have traditions and to start those here, I never had that as a kid. So, being able to share that with them is great. They're very great people. I appreciate all of them because they don't have to do this. They're taking time out of their lives to do this for us, like the volunteers and everyone like that. It's just great," added Summers.
These are the first three of six homes to be built by the Habitat of Humanity for this year.
