LIMA — Lima Senior left no doubt at home Thursday night, rolling past Toledo Scott in straight sets for a 3-0 sweep in Toledo City League play.

The Spartans jumped out quickly behind senior Ali Vanmeter, who delivered an early ace to spark an 8-2 lead in the opening set. Angela Kohlhofer added to the momentum, mixing in finesse at the net before later dropping in an ace of her own.

Jackie Waithe added five kills on the night, helping Lima Senior secure the first set 25-13. From there, the Spartans only tightened their grip, dominating the second set 25-7 and finishing the match with a commanding 25-2 win in the third.

With the victory, Lima Senior showcased their depth and control, cruising to another league triumph inside Lima Gymnasium.
