The workday came to a halt today(10/18/19) at Sekisui Plastics USA after a fire was reported. Company and fire officials did not say specifically what happened at the plant today, located south of Kenton on U.S. 68. But the fire department was called in this morning to the south side of the building. A large hole can be seen and the air smells of burnt plastic. Officials did tell us no one was hurt and that the incident is still under investigation. The company produces moldable foam used in car parts, baby seat core parts, and protective packaging.
