LIMA, OH (WLIO) -Â An open house was held over at Allen County RTA to show off some future road projects.

The Lima-Allen County Planning Commission and ODOT presented the draft of the 2026-2029 Transportation Improvement Program for Allen County.

The Cable Road improvement project tops on the agenda for the city of Lima. It includes the addition of turn lanes, along with a focus on pedestrian safety for students at Northwestern. Residents were on hand to get their questions answered about some of the local upgrades.
“What we're really trying to do with this transportation improvement program is enhance the safety and reliability and overall esthetic of our roadways and its accompanying infrastructure. Over the next four years, we have about ten million invested in various projects within the region, told Colleen Barry, RTPO Manager and Senior Planner for the Lima-Allen County Regional Planning Commission.
