Lima Ford workers ratify new union contact

The Lima plant ratified the deal with 60% of the employees voting to accept it. Some Ford plants have rejected the offer, such as the Louisville truck assembly plant. According to the UAW as of this morning, Ford employees who have voted have approved the deal by 67 percent, but there are still two large plants in Detroit and some smaller plants that need to have their votes counted.

Union workers at General Motors were the first of the big three automakers to completely approve their new contract. Nearly 55% of the GM workers approve of the deal, which included pay increases, reduced the number of years to reach top pay, and changes to benefits. Stellantis and Ford are wrapping up their voting this weekend.
