Lima leaders jailed during MDA Lock-Up

The leaders of many Lima area industries and businesses are serving time all in an effort to raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

The MDA held its annual Lima Lock-up at Texas Roadhouse Wednesday afternoon.  During the event, MDA jailbirds ask their family and friends to make donations which go towards bail.  The bail is then donated to the MDA.

The goal of the organization is to cure Muscular Dystrophy, ALS, and related diseases.  Money raised pays for services such as clinics, camps, and support groups.

In exchange for getting jailed , these inmates were treated to much better than three squares and a cell.  Texas roadhouse donated lunch to those locked up.  The Lima event raises about $50,000 each year. Â
