Lima murder suspect apprehended in Alabama

A suspect involved in a two-year-old murder case has been apprehended in Alabama.

23-year-old Chaz Jackson was arrested on a Lima Police Department felony warrant Thursday afternoon in Huntsville, Alabama. The Lima Police Department received notification of his arrest by the United States Marshal Service.

Jackson was indicted for the murder of Ryan VanBuskirk on November 21, 2016. According to the Lima Police Department, Jackson has been a suspect since early on in the investigation. Information the department has learned, leads them to believe he's been all over the country but primarily residing in Alabama. Rione Gray was sentenced to six years in prison in connection to VanBuskirk's murder.

There's no timeframe for when Jackson will be back in Lima.
