If you are looking for something to get you into the patriotic mood before the 4th of July, the Lima Symphony Orchestra may have the solution.
On Saturday, July 2nd, the orchestra will be on the Ohio Northern University campus for their annual Patriotic Pops concert. The concert is free and open to the public, but bring your own chair or blanket, so you have a great seat. Last year’s Patriotic Pops concert was the first live performance by the symphony in over a year because of the pandemic and the musicians are gearing up to help put a little extra pep in your step for the independence holiday.
“It is sort of a best of concert,” says Renee Keller, Lima Symphony Orchestra Marketing and Education Coordinator. “You get a lot of marches, we do a special tribute to our armed forces, which is a highlight for both the orchestra and the audience and just to have some fun pop tunes as well.”
The concert will be Saturday, July 2nd at 7 pm on the campus of Ohio Northern University on the lawn in front of the McIntosh Center.
