Lima's reservoirs benefited from a rainy June

While July has been hot and rather dry, June was a rain producer, which benefited Lima's water supply.

The City of Lima's reservoirs has the capacity to hold 15 billion gallons of water. In June alone, they pumped 1.3-billion gallons of water into the reservoirs. The reservoirs are above-ground, off-stream storage with the majority of the water being pumped from the Ottawa and Auglaize rivers. With the June rains creating a good flow in the rivers, the water pumped is in good condition.

City of Lima Utilities Director Mike Caprella, says the reservoirs are at 95% capacity.
