Local colleges seek area employers for upcoming job fair

Two local colleges are teaming up once again for their annual campus based fall job fair.

The Ohio State University and Rhodes State College will be hosting area employers who are seeking qualified candidates to fill full time jobs, part time jobs, and internships. Organizations and companies who choose to participate will have the chance to meet Lima campus students looking for jobs while also promoting their products and services. Krista Richardson, Career Service Manager at OSU Lima says it's the perfect way to bridge the gap between employers and employees.

"At Rhodes State College and Ohio State University we like to connect employers with our students and our graduates. We feel it's an opportune time for students to come in our gymnasium, meet with all the employers, and learn about the opportunities they have for careers, or part time jobs, to connect with what they're learning in the classroom with what the work force needs," commented Rachel Richardson.

"The job fair is open to all employers from all industries and we typically have approximately about 100 employers that do attend. We are almost at capacity, we're about halfway full and the deadline for registration is September the 1st, and we are looking for employers that are offering full time, part time, co-ops, and internships, and there's no cost. It is free for employers to register to attend," said Krista Richardson.

Any employers who would like to register, you can contact Rachel and Krista at 419-995-8053. Employers have until September 1, 2017.
