A day after filing to run for U.S. Senate, Ohio businessman Bernie Moreno has dropped out of the race.
The Republican candidate announced Thursday night his decision to suspend his campaign for Rob Portman's seat. Moreno says he had a conversation with former President Donald Trump, and he agreed that this race has too many Pro-Trump Candidates and could cost Ohio the currently conservative-held seat. Currently, there are eight Republican and four Democratic candidates that have filed to run in the May 3rd primary.
