LIMA, OH (WLIO) - Dominion Energy Ohio is now Enbridge Gas Ohio.
It was a welcoming day for the employees at Ohio offices, including Lima's, to the Enbridge company. The Canadian-based company finalized its purchase of the Ohio operations on March 7th. The Lima operation has been serving local customers for 137 years and has had many different owners over that time. Lima employees are ready for this next chapter and say they have come full circle. They started strictly as a natural gas company, then other owners branched off to other energy areas. Now with Enbridge, they are back to a company focused on natural gas.
"All of our employees here are excited about being a part of a new company that wants to grow, that understands the business, and champions natural gas, which seems like an anomaly in today's market," says Peggy Ehora, Lima's External Affairs Manager, Enbridge Gas Ohio. "But, so that's what we are doing here today, which is kind of a kickoff to a whole new chapter of the lives of the employees here."
Customers are not going to see any changes to their gas service, payment programs, or customer service that they had with Dominion.
"From a customer standpoint, you really shouldn't see any difference," adds Ehora. "You should be getting the same safe, reliable service from Enbridge that you had from every other company that was predecessors here at the end of the day. That's what's important for us is that the customers get what they expect from us."
The only change you will see in the future is the new logo that will be placed on the vehicles, bills, and outside the Lima office.
