If you know someone who has done a good job at keeping Lima safe, now is your time to thank them.
Nominations are now open for the 24th Annual Safe Community Awards. Anyone who lives, works, or plays in the Lima-Allen County community is able to nominate anyone they feel has made an effort to keep Lima safe. Winners of the awards will be recognized on September 28th at the annual awards luncheon.
"Every year we do our part to look into the community and give recognition to individuals who are helping keeping our community safe," Explained Shaunna Basinger, LACRP. "That's law enforcement, that's fire safety, emergency medical services, outstanding citizens, anybody who's doing education for youth, which would be like 16 to 25, children, 0 to 15, anybody who is making our community safe."
To nominate someone, you can find a survey on the Lima-Allen County Regional Planning Commission's Facebook page, or you can call 419-228-1836 to make a nomination.
