August 20, 2024, Press Release from the Ohio Department of Transportation: SIDNEY (Tuesday, August 20, 2024) - The Ohio Department of Transportation District 7 is seeking public comments regarding the following projects: Â
D07-Culvert Repair Fiscal Year 2026, PID 116498: Â ODOT proposes to rehabilitate six culvert systems in Miami, Montgomery, and Shelby Counties. Â Under the project, culverts will be cleaned out and spray liner or field paving will be provided. Â The project is necessary maintenance. Â The project is expected to begin in Spring 2026. Â
MOT-East Third Street Improvements, PID 116967:Â Â The City of Dayton proposes to improve pedestrian and bicycle access on East Third Street, from Webster Street to Keowee Street. Â The project is intended to improve bicycle access. Â The project is expected to begin in June 2027.
MOT-Smithville Road Reconstruction, PID 116964: Â The City of Dayton proposes to reconstruct South Smithville Road from US 35 to Huffman Avenue. Improvements will include reconstruction and repaving of the roadway, addition of a two-way left turn lane, new traffic signals, and a new multi-use path. The project is expected to begin in June 2027.
