LIMA, OH (WLIO) - Several area organizations are opening their doors to help people to get out of these cold temperatures.

Organizations in Putnam and Hancock counties opening their doors for residents to warm up

In Putnam County, the Office of Public Safety has released four warming station locations that will be open today through Wednesday.

In Putnam County, the Office of Public Safety has released four warming station locations that will be open today through Wednesday. They include:

  • Leipsic Community Center, located at 120 E. Main Street in Leipsic, Ohio
  • Columbus Grove Legion, located at 412 Plum Street in Columbus Grove, Ohio
  • American Legion, located at 109 South 5th Street in Continental, Ohio
  • Arthur Lugibihl Community Center, located at 301 North Jefferson Street in Pandora, Ohio.

Public safety director Brian Hilvers adds that libraries are a good place to go and warm up and that more warming stations may be available if needed in other locations.

In Hancock County, the City Mission and the Saint Andrew's Church annex will be open.

In Hancock County, the City of Findlay says the City Mission, located at 510 West Main Cross, Findlay, Ohio, will be open as a warming center and for overnight stays, and the Saint Andrew's Church annex, located at West Crawford Street in Findlay, Ohio, will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. as a warming center.
