Inspirational may be an understatement when you hear the story of one teenage girl who has defied the odds ever since she was born,,,,and doesn't let anything get in her way.
Eighth grade cheerleader Sydnee Truesdale doesn't need any firing up because she is grabbing life by the horns.
Sydnee was born with a rare birth defect. She didn't have fibulas which caused her legs to be deformed. At one year old her lower limbs were amputated and she was fitted for prosthetics.
Despite having to overcome obstacles, she is more active than your average teenager. She's ran in a warrior race, a color run, is a dancer and now a cheerleader.
Not only is she a good athlete, but she's also a good example of making the most of the cards she's been dealt.
Sydnee's parents say their daughter continues to surprise them everyday and they hope her story can be an inspiration to others.
