A person walking along train tracks in Shelby County is struck and seriously injured.
The Shelby County Sheriff's Office says around 6:15 Friday evening, a pedestrian was hit by a train while he or she was walking on the tracks, this at State Route 65 in Jackson Center. Deputies say the person was life flighted out, and they expect the tracks at State Route 65 to reopen sometime tonight. Sheriff's deputies and Jackson Center police responded.
No other information is being released to media at this time.
