Lima Police are on the hunt for a suspect or suspects from a Tuesday night shooting on the city's west side. Police were called out to the 300 block of West Kibby Street just before 10:30 Tuesday night, where they found 32-year-old Branson Tucker with a gunshot wound to the leg. Tucker was taken to St. Rita's Medical Center for treatment of what's described as a non-life threatening wound. Detectives were called to the scene and interviewed several witnesses, but say there are no known suspects from the shooting.
Less than two hours later, shots rang out in the 1500 block of West Spring Street. Detectives were alerted just after midnight when 26-year-old David Rinaldi showed up at St. Rita's after having been shot twice. Officers say he was hit while sitting in a car and was able to drive himself to the hospital. He's expected to recover. Detectives say they're following up on several leads after talking to witnesses. They do not believe this shooting is related to the one earlier in the night on Kibby Street.
Anyone with information on either case is asked to call the Lima Police Department's Detective Bureau.
