A Van Wert County man accused in the death of a 15-month-old baby was back in court Monday to prepare his trial.
During Christopher Peters' last pre-trial conference his lawyer filed multiple motions including how Peters can appear in court, restricting media from covering the trial, and how evidence should be handled. The judge announced his rulings on those motions today. Peters is being charged with aggravated murder, for which he could see the death penalty, murder, felonious assault and endangering children, after Peters allegedly caused the death of 15-month old Hayden Ivan Ridinger.
Peters still remains in the Van Wert Couty Jail on a two million dollar bond. The judge also set dates for Peters' next pre-trial, which is set for March 3, 2017 at 10 a.m. at the Van Wert Common Pleas Courthouse.
